Jason Allevato is seeking election to serve as State Representative to Ohio’s 4th House District encompassing Westerville, New Albany, Gahanna and Blacklick.  Jason and his wife Courtney live in New Albany with their three beautiful children, Gigi (3), Asher (2), and Poppy (1), and are expecting a new baby boy in July 2024!

Born at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Jason grew up in a middle class home near a pig farm in still-developing Pickerington, Ohio.  He learned hard work and the value of a dollar while working from the age of 12 and through high school as a paperboy and at the local grocery store. Involved in various sports since a young age, Jason also grew to appreciate teamwork, humility, and service toward a greater goal as he progressed to become a state-caliber baseball star.

Jason attended the University of Virginia (UVA) on academic scholarship where he studied economics and political philosophy. After a stint as an Economist in the U.S. Department of Commerce under President George W. Bush, Jason returned to graduate school where he put himself through both the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was an Editor of the Virginia Law Review, and the Darden Graduate School of Business.

After school, Jason chose to pursue a career in business. He was blessed with the opportunity to join McKinsey & Company where he was retained by boards of directors and executives of Fortune 100 corporations to help improve their growth strategies and business operations.

Jason then joined a private equity investment firm where he learned to acquire and grow companies as an owner. In 2013, Jason left to launch his own investment firm focused on growing “mom and pop” businesses in greater Appalachia. For the last 11 years, Jason has founded or acquired and grown dozens of small businesses across a variety of industries, while creating hundreds of jobs and many millions of dollars of value for his investment partners.

Locally, Jason is active in the Westerville, New Albany, and Gahanna Chambers of Commerce. He is a graduate of the New Albany Citizen Police Academy, and is currently in the Leadership New Albany program hosted by the New Albany Chamber. Jason continues to serve on the boards of numerous companies and organizations, both locally and nationally, and his leadership has led to a variety of notable achievements, including his most recent venture - now named Fairwood Brands - being recognized as “Private Equity Deal of the Year” by ACG Columbus.

Jason met Courtney, who also attended UVA, in 2017 and was immediately smitten. They married about 18 months later, and their most fulfilling responsibility is raising their three children in a happy, healthy, Christian home, instilling the same values with which they were raised.

Having seen first-hand both the virtues and challenges of rapid economic development, Jason was inspired to enter public service to ensure that the citizens of Ohio’s 4th District have a strong, business-friendly, quality of-life-focused voice representing their unique local interests, especially with respect to the rapid growth occurring in and around northeast Franklin County. Jason looks forward to representing you in the Ohio House of Representatives.
